foglight switch

anybody know how to wire the factory foglights (99-00 civic) up to a switch so the fog lights can just be on without the headlights having to be? i know it can be dont but i havent found out how.

Do you have a service manual? That'll show you which wires to cut. I'd bring power to the switch and then to the lights after cutting the wires that are now connected to the headlight switch. The key is the manual, which shows the routing and color codes. This is what I used to wire up the pillar pod instruments.

Thin red wire in 4 and thick red wire in 1

or the other way around. That's how mine are wired. They run off the switch and you can use them whenever you want instead of only on low beam.

Understand what I'm trying to say? If you look at the wires that go in above the fuse box theres one wire thicker than the other, they won't both be red unless they're OEM... I can't find a diagram of the interior fuse panel or I'd show you it.
