I used to have an 02' civic and I really liked the chrome/silver trunk lid.... now that I have an 08' no chrome trunk lid but I know I can buy one

yeah i think i've decided against it.. not just because of the opinions but truthfully I'm scared lol

I'm scared that yes I might like the way it looks but it might be a b!tch to take off, if i need to resell the car... or if it just falls off because its cheap, really there are endless amounts of reasons.

i kinda would like the trunk lid better if it was just plain silvered out, without the printed "civic" wording on it...

 

Yea, you made the right decision there. You should always get opinions on the forum before you do any mods to your car. Most of us here know what we're talking about, have tried stupid things and have regretted them, and want to stop people from making a bad decision.

But, at least you're thinking out of the box and want to modify your car. IMO chrome has no place on a civic. What sort of mods have you done already?
