Default glow under seats

im looking into getting a red glow under the seats.

suggestions for the light? im thinking about going on streetglows website

also, i think i saw one here earlier but i cant find it anywhere, it was a wiring diagram so if i did get the two lights under the seats, how would i wire it to the 12v line. (dont want an ugly plug sticking in my ciggetate lighter.

thanks!

go to Oznium.com and check out their cold cathodes... they're brighter and more durable than normal neon tubes. And wiring the tubes is incredibly simple. Take the negative wires from the tubes and find a place to ground them. When I did my under-seat neons, I just ran them under the center console and screwed them to the body. Then, take the positive wires and run them to a switch, and then run a wire from the switch to either a fused 12v source (your fuse box) or directly to the battery (with an inline fuse between the switch and battery). That's all there is to it. And remember, never run wires through the door jamb, always through the firewall... wires can be pinched in the door, which isn't good

dito. OZ best place for lighting and customer service as well....
either LED FLEXSTRIPS or cheap cold cathodes. both work great! the flex leds will take a true beating.... so if you think you or anyone in the back seat will kick around the lights then dont get the cold cathodes....

what size do you guys think would be sufficent?

im looking to get a nice glow for my feet, passengers feet, and the 2 peoples in the back feet.

im assuming 4 tubes are definitly needed? one for under the wheel area, under the glove and one for each seat?
am i correct in assuming this?

thanks again guys!

I'm jumping in here to say
no on the cathodes
they do not last as long, are not as bright, consume more power yadda yadda
LED strips are the best for this
For one, LEDs have an insane lifetime, 3000 hours or more at times
They consume very little electricity, you could leave on 8 strips of LEDs overnight and your car will still start with absolutely no problem the next morning
LEDs although they consume next to nothing for power, are incredibly efficient and very bright, brighter than cathodes
LEDs are also easier to deal with, often come with double sided tape so mounting is incredibly easy, and since they are not as bulky and are flexible, you can put them anyway

just go for LEDs
sorry but if you still go for cathodes, you'd be ignorant

alrighty, for the led strips would i need 4?

also i had a crazy idea, is there anyway to wire them so they beat with the music? (that feuture would also have to have a switch to solid AND off as that could get annoying fast for long drives)
