Ground Effects

Ok Ive looked online for 3 months at body kits for my civic..and the only one I think that looks good..Is the tsunami T2000...and the whole kit is like 1300. Now why is this one so much more than all these other ones that are like 400 and 600 bucks.

you get what you pay for. its probably made form a good, flexible material, like Blue Class fiberglass, or polyurethane, its worth it for a good one.

it probably actually fits well too, youll find a lot of fitment problems with cheap body kits (and lots of other cheap products for that matter.

and with a cheap kit, your paint will crack cause the kit will flex but the paint will not. At least I think Ive heard that.

If you are goin to spend the time and money on a kit, fork out the money for a nice, one with a nice paint match, you dont want your car looking nazty after 6 months.

I was looking at body kits too, and I really like the black widow body kit, and this one other front bumper, I forgot what it was called. Whatever. I went to a shop and they said that they could get a polyurathane one for $650 so after install and paint it would be around $2000 (poly paint and install plus clear coat base coat paint on the whole car)

Also, if you do decide to get that buddyclub2 kit (which is AWESOME!!!) make sure you get the polyurathane one. It might cost about $200 more, but it wont get stress cracks, and neither will the paint assuming you use the right kind of paint on it. SECOND of all, you'll definately want to seriously consider putting a body kit on a car that you will have for quite awhile. If your car has a ton of miles on it and you think you're going to offload it sometime in the near future for someone to use as a commuter car, then don't put one on it. You won't be able to get the body kit off of the car and you won't get your money back out of it when you sell it. My car has 210k miles on it, so I don't dare put a body kit on it or anything that I can't take off and use on my next civic since it has a lot of miles.
