Halo Projectors
Just received my projectors, well i didnt realize they replace the entire front end lighting. I bought some clear corner lights while back, were cheap, but there useless now, guess i resell them on ebay. The lights appear to have one plug, and 2 sets of red and black wires, i heard they are for the halos? Where do you connect those wires to, and do they come on with the headlights or when the tail and parking lights come on? Is there any precautions to take before sealing them with the silicone.
Thanks, installed tails, and corners before but not familar with the halos.

Okay, let's see if I can remember what I'm doing (I installed my projectors last year, so I might not remember all the details).
1) pop the hood, remove the front bumper. On a 5th gen, there will be 5 screws on top of the bumper near the hood latch, and one screw on each side connecting the bumper to the fenders. I think there will be a few screws holding the inner fender to the bumper, but I'm not positive (it's been well over a year since I've had inner fenders)
2) unbolt the stock headlights. There will be two bolts on top of the headlights, and one at the bottom inside corner. Also, there's a weird-shaped peice of metal at the bottom of the headlight that you'll need to remove. I believe there's two bolts holding that to the frame. I think all the bolts are 10mm, but they might be 11. I'm not sure.
3) pull the headlight and the corner light out as one peice (there's no point in unscrewing the corner light right now). After you have it pulled out a few inches, unscrew the corner light bulb (it should be a quarter-turn and then you can pull it out) and pull the wire harness plug thing from the back of the headlight. Now you can pull the headlight out completely.
4) put the new headlight in place, and plug the harness thing back in place (and screw the corner light bulb in)
5) I think you'll need to bolt down that funny little peice of metal that was under the headlight again, but I"m not sure. Bolt down the headlight (3 bolts) and put the bumper back on/screw it back on.
6) time to wire up the halos. I highly, highly recommend you wire them to an independent switch. If you wire them to another light, they'll probably burn out pretty quickly. Personally, I wired the negative (black if you didnt' know... though I'm sure you did) to the alternator ground since it's already in the front of the engine bay. Assuming you don't know how to wire switches, you take the positive wire from the halos to the switch. Then, run a wire from the switch to a fused power source (or the battery... technically, there should be a fuse between the switch and battery, but you don't really need one lol).
7) wait until dusk (make sure it's dark enough to see the headlights but bright enough for you to see what you're doing). Now, if you can, park your car facing a wall as far back as you can be. This is where you get to aim your headlights. The two bolts on top of the headlight will be to adjust the headlight on the y-axis (up/down). loosen the bolts and aim the headlight where you want it to go, then tighten the bolts (still holding the headlight; trust me, it'll go back to where it was if you don't hold it while you're bolting it down). The bolt at the inside corner of the light adjusts it on the x-axis (left/right). Same thing with the top bolts: loosen, adjust, tighten.
Just so you know, there will be a visible step-down on the low-beam light pattern. It's supposed to be there (so your headlights dont' blind other drivers), so don't worry about it. Oh, and just a warning: you'll probably get flashed with high-beams pretty often... people tend to think my low beams are my highs... they're pretty bright.

I am having some serious issues with the fitment of the lights, it seems they dont meet up with the coners of the fender, there is some piece of rubber that came with it to fill the gap, but one is missing. The lights are in but just alot of space, im not sure what to do, i might try to customize a piece of rubber to work for the light.
any chance you bought a set for a 4dr and you have a coupe? I have a set of clear corners for mine that dont fit because they are for a 4dr and leave ~1/2" gap where it should snug into the fender. maybe its the other way around on which has a bigger gap, but I know there is a difference in that respect.
I have a 4dr civic, the lights i bought said 92-95 4dr, but now should they automatically fit snug against the fender, cause these appear to use some sort of rubber piece to fill the gap. Theres only one rubber piece though, and even with that attached there are slight fitment issues like on the sides and bumper. Im so pissed and im trying to contact the seller ace motors, i know its after 3 days which is there return period i think....Im going to go to a shop tommorow and see what they can do.
