Default headlights upgrade suggestions

Hi,
This is not really a necessity persay...but I would like to have brighter headlights....
People on the road don't like when others turn on the brights...which sometimes are needed to see the road in an unlit area...
So to make a long story short...anyone have any suggestions for headlight replacements?

I saw motorweek on public tele...and they said that phillips makes some kind of lights that are 3 in one...give you better distance but also light up your sides you can see....

Thanks

I got Hella bulbs and they are nice but they can't compare to HIDs.

If you stick with halogens try upgrading the wiring harness with an AUX or fog light wiring kit from an auto store, what this will do is it will use a relay to pull power directly from the battery to give the bulbs more power. Also if you do end up running higher watt bulbs upgrade the power wire plug to a high temp unit that again some/most auto parts stores sell. My headlight plugs are utterly melted from the pre-previous owner using high watt H4's.

If you go with HID pnp make sure you get one that comes with either A. a shield and/or B a moving bulb/shield (this allows for use of high and low beams).... If you get an H4 unit with out a shiled the light will be cast all over the headlight housing and into the section that is for the high beam and this in turn with shine light upwards into other drivers eyes which is really bad....
