I was thinking about getting hid for headlights. But are the blue or purple colors good to drive in?

 

Do some searching around on colors. Generally, the higher up in the temp range you go, the less visible light is actually projected.

To be honest, visibility starts to cut off after 4300k. I have 5000k in mine right now and love them.

anything above 6000k is pointless. i recommend something around 4300k-5000k
