HID Xenon Conversion Kit
I am a recent Audi convert and I can tell you the first thing that must be upgraded in my Civic Si is the headlights. I know there is allot of junk in the market that the bulbs will just blow right away. I am willing to pay for a clear cut front runner if the quility is worth the price tag. I newbie needs your help, what should I be looking at and from who? How about this forums sponsors, I always like supporting them! I have read in the forum the 6K bulbs are the route to go. I don't know what was in my S4 Audi but I loved them.
Thanks and I appreciate the help.

well if your old car had the HIDs STOCK then you wont be able to get that look....
at least not without ALOT OF WORK........
most people use projectors but im using my stock headlight housings... but both ways dont have that SICK looken OEM HID look...
to get that look you need to do a retro fit... which is basicaly using your headlight housing and then buying some OEM hid headlights from any car.... then ya take out the oem hid housing and cut away at it your stock housing for the housings to fit then securing it all to it.... BUT even after doing all that thiers still a chance that it might not fit in your car..... cause oem hid housings are typicaly preaty long going back..... BUT if you got the room id say its worth it!!!!!!!
but i think you can make it fit with a cold air or SAI and maybe moving the powersteering resovor.... tho this is just what I THINK..... i want to do mine BUT its not cheap to get some OEM hid housings!

Addiction pretty much covered it, you can get a HID conversion for stock housings, or do a retrofit, but the retrofit may void part of the warranty cause you actually have to tamper with the headlight housing.
warente... thier isnt any.LOL tho with buying the hid bulbs and ballasts tho the OEM housings MIGHT come with bulbs and ballasts... ya still dont know how long they have been used... so those are always a risk of being bad or weak.....
hard part is figuring out if ya want to spend the BUNCHES OF $$ for new OEM bulbs and ballasts...LOL or jsut buy the cheaper kit.
im using the HIDs from oznium.com 6Ks they work preaty good BUT the typical flash/then dim up kinda sucks BUT its just what most kits do
small price to pay for saving quite a bit of cash.LOL
edit should add.... expect to pay ruffly 250bucks for just the HID housings.... thats no bulbs or ballasts included
thats mainly why ive never retrofited my car.LOL
here is a retrofit link to show you typicaly what it envolves...

The flash is normal for HID"s though. so you would have to live with it really.
And Addiction i was referring to if he was going to retrofit that he would have to alter the housing of the headlight itself and i figured that would void part of the warranty or something.... mayeb not i dunno

well ya if you bought from a dealership.. BUT the housings are what your chopen not the bulbs or ballasts... so thiers no problem thier even IF they came with a warrente.. but if you buy new under warente expect to pay a eazy 1-2K bucks.... LOL
I am 43 not 23, all I want is to see better, I could give a rats behind as to what it looks like. I just want to see better and not blind the person coming at me. What is the path of least resistance that is reliable and will achive my goal?
Thanks everyone for chiming in, it is a great help.

If you want the simplest path then just get a HID Conversion that replaces with the same aas the bulb size that you have, (i.e. i have H4/9003 for my housings, i just got the H4 replacement for the HID kit) If you'r housings are angled properly then you shouldn't have an issue, i never get flashed anymore then i did before.
mine hids are in my stock housings... never been flashed... just remember to readjust your headlights after puting in the hids....
also fog lights help at night quite a bit....
i want to get some HIDs for my foglights now....
