Default How do I remove my headlights???

It looks like I have to take off my front bumper just to remove my headlights? Does anyone know how to remove them? I have a 1997 Honda Civic Ex and I want to replace the bulbs...

P.S. I'm a newbie so go easy, lol.

There is no need to take the bumber off to change out the bulbs. Just take out the back of the headlights.

undo the plug in the back of the light yuo want to change the bulb in and then give the whole plastioc part a twist and then it should pull out, be careful installing the new bulb, do not let your fingers touch the bulb, the oils from your hands kill the lifespan of the halogen bulbs, if you want to change the whole light assembly then you need to lower the front of the bumper to access 1 of the 4 mounting bolts, its not necessary to remove the bumper.

Also, you might as well change both of them out. Most likely once you replace one, the older one will stick out bad.

If you are trying to change the driver's side bulb, it's a bitch to get past the power steering fluid reservoir. Just a forewarning. And I think the owner's manual tells you how to change bulbs.

Good call Remington. Yeah man, I changed one buld one time and next thing I know three days later the other bulb is out. It's just more convenient not to chance it.

pull the power steering resevoir out by pulling it straight up, then push it back out of the way. be sure you put it back in the bracket, we killed a hose by letting it hit the belt.

You know for some reason, every time I pull up my PS reservoir, it still does not budge. I can move it up and down fine, but the way the hoses are connected to it, it's practically impossible to move it side to side.
