how to polish lip
the set of wheels that came on my new crx are going to b painted cuz whoever did it last did a crappy job the lip was polished or chrome idk which one but it looks a lil shinier than the painted part
whats the best way to shine it up? and if i have to redo it whats the best way to repolish it? thanks https://www.hondacivicforum.com/foru...pictureid=3734 thats the best pic i have right now and i was thinking about painting the wheels all white, white with polished lip or black w/polished lip...or going custom and having a black back with white spokes w/polished lip idk yet i think im gonna try them all and see what i like best |
you can try using some chrome wheel polish something like blue magic wheel polish
|
That chrome wheel polish stuff didnt do a damn thing when I used it to polish mine. The best way is just lots of sanding increasing the grit each time around. Or if you have a dremel or a drill, get some polishing bits and go to town. I vote for white w/ polished lip, always looks sick on a white car, or bronze with a polished lip. Nice CRX btw, always wanted one.

thanks i love her but only have gotten to drive her once (clutch went out as soon as i got home) but i tried the crome polish stuff and it made it a lil shinier but did nothing for the oxidation or mashed in brake dust(not sure what it is really)

for that stuff you should sand them and increasing the grit as you go. then polish them afterwards
|
Ok. no joke, get yourself some Turtle Wax "tire shine" the stuff works wonders, i used it on some mags that were on a quad with some gold colored oxidization, and it took it off in seconds, not particularly sure if it will work 100% for you, but it has me, its even got rid of RUST on my cousins ZX2 Escort rims, the stuffs amazing.

That Tire Shine stuff is also going to eat a little at any paint it gets on too. Just make sure you dont put it on the wheels once thier painted.

thanks
I think I'm gonna go with white with polished lip I'll post pics when I'm done |
