Default I need some help on my cluster

Hey guys, I have ordered myself a gauge cluster with an rpm tach from a 1996 civic for my 94 civic cx, which came with no stock cluster including an rpm tach. Anyways, I have tried before and found that it is hard to remove the panel trim that surrounds the stock cluster, I removed the two screws on the top of the panel, but it seems stiff and tight around the air vents and generally the whole panel. Is there a good way to remove this panel without breaking it? Should I pry it off with a screwdriver? Any help is thanked!

well, my advice to remove the panel, is to not remove it at all, just don't waste your time because you won't be fitting that cluster in you dash by "bolting" it in. you got the wrong cluster, you need a cluster from a 92-95, not a cluster from a 1996-2000.

so basically, buy the right cluster before you mess with your dash.

behind the hazard button is another screw, take it out or you will break it... you are gonna need to resplice the harness to make the 96 cluster fit just so ya know

it won't fit nicely either, the 5th gen clusters are "flatter" than the 6th gen clusters

How to install on cluster swapping - 92-95, 96-00 and 94-01 teg clusters. Do know you'll need the plugs for the 96-00 to make it work in your 94....

only one problem actually, the speedo reads in mph as the main scale, that shouldnt be too bad but i live in canada where km/h is the standard
