i'm going to paint my car a dark grey color, what type of paint and what brands are good?

wut i would do is find a car on the road that has the same color i want. then go to the dealer and ask them for the color code or idk maybe u can buy the color directly from the dealer. if u cant buy from the dealer get the code and take it to the paint shop they should have it

 

Have apaint shop do it to the color you like!

 

I'd do a BMW or VW smoke silver/graphite grey (thats the color I want to paint my car!)

As stated by ballinboy, just find a car with the color grey you like and get the code for it from the dealer (check with BMW, their paints all look insanely good)

 

i think i have found the color i want, its called "phantom grey pearl" or i was thinking about gunmetal but i haven't seen a car painted with that

 

late model mustangs have a nice looking charcol/dark grey color

im also painting my car on saturday and i cant decide between black or gun metal..
im getting my paint job completely free so its going to be free of cost either way...
i want something that not everybody has thats why im thinking of the gun metal because everyone has black and i just want it to be my own... my car was previously blue..
any opinions...?

 

ok well since this has to do with painting im not going to start a new topic... i was wondering, my 96 civic is silver, and i want to paint that annoying black stripe along the body. How would I go about matching the exact colour? do i have to take it to a shop or is this something i can easily do myself? thanks in advance

oh one more thing, my car was egged the other night by some punk kids, i heard thats bad for the paint?? i cleaned it off right away
