You could do it. But once you become a smart 17 or 18 year old youll wish you hadnt. I Painted mine blue when i was 16 on my last car. 6 months later I was liek "WTF was I thinkin?" Save yourself the trouble and just dont do it. If you want to do anything, just go black. Theres threads on this all over the place, have a look around.

you can do it yourself with some sandpaper (or rubbing alcohol if you want to keep the grain texture) and some krylon fusion.

Take it from someone with experience: you don't want to paint your interior. Painted interiors look great until you have to look at one every day of your life. After a few months (or in my case, a year lol), you start wondering why you painted everything in the first place...

btw, I'm in the middle of a color change from (guess what!) blue to black

And for the record, I wasa bored 15 year old with ADHD when I painted my interior, and I still managed to do a good job

edit: btw, if you still want to know how to do it, let me know... I'll post a how-to or something

does anyone know if the interior of a 90 civic hatchback is the same as an 89? i read somewhere that they are different pieces. the reason i ask is because i now regret painting parts inside my car blue. turned out i just wanted to paint some stuff.
damn...he pinned that down.

i would probably say dont do it, as you will grow to hate it.

If you do want to do it then have some thought about it, dont just paint everything.

With one ofmy old cars (1990 MR2) i just painted certain parts of the trim which looked great, and wasnt to over the top. It also meant that if i got bored or wanted to try a different theme, i could just take out the painted parts and change the colour.

Its a fairly easy job, but paint work is 90% preperation, make sure everything is clean and well sanded before you start. Ive stuck a couple of pics on here so you can see my cars interior, and notice that the centre console is leather, and i found some leather spray paint on Ebay, worked a treat.
