Default Interior paint removal help!

I just got my 2000 civic ex a week ago and the guy before me did a HORRIBLE job of painting all the plastic pieces on the interior of the car white. I looked for threw the forum for quite some time before asking this question, so does anyone know how I would be able to remove the paint on the plastic pieces?? Thanks

Its going to look like total crap once you take it off. You can try using some type of stripper to take it off. Your better off getting a dash out of another car and putting it in. If its just the plastic pieces, even better since they are easy to replace.

Well, thank goodness its just the plastic peices! Hmm...so I can either go to a junk yard or try brake fluid. My nextdoor neighboor told me brake part cleaner works, but I just tried it and its not working very well. I think I'm going totry the brake fluid idea since I'm not doing anything right now. Thanks for the tips!

Try Citristrip. They sell it at Homedepot and it smells like Orange Koolaide. LOL Seriously, it is really good stuff. I dont know how it will do on plastic, but not like a normal harsh stripper. Just an idea.

check ebay. and when using brake fluid, i'm not sure how long, but let them soak. and then peel it off with your fingernail (to be safe not to scratch it)

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

click on order parts and then select your car. you will have to look in a couple of different places for all of the plastic parts. I know the door pieces are split between door lining and door lock, the center radio bezel is under instrument garnish. you will have to look around for any additional pieces. I know those are there cuz im in the process of doing the same thing to my car. and the charcoal gray is the dark gray interior, and classy gray is the lighter gray. (I think, PLEASE correct me if im wrong cuz i dont want to be the reason you order wrong parts)
