Just got done removing the tint in my car, now how do I tint?
I heard of a coupple of ways of doing this and it seemed to be doable so I gave it a shot. First, I just used a razor blade with heat to get the quarter windows. It was tough and left allot of glue, but I got it done. The passenger window I got off in one peice lol. Really crappy tint. Then, I used rubbing alcohol, hot water, baking soda and dish soap with a scratch free scotch brite pad to get the glue off. It looks stock again now. I am suprised it was not all that hard to do.
Now I am not sure if I want to get it done profesionally or do it myself. I tried to use a kit from a parts store, but it is a pain trying to cut it with it flopping around everywhere. I found that there is pre-cut kits on ebay, but I am pretty much done with ebay. The best deal I have found is 219.00 for the whole car. So I am not sure. anyone ever try to use the pre-cut kits off ebay?

I helped my friend tint the windshield on his jeep today. Only 6 inches wide in a straight line on a flat window..and it took us over an hour just for that. Just have a professional do it, if it messes up they will fit it plus there'll be few bubbles
I have tinted mine, it's not difficult at all if you take your time. I used the pre cut tint from tint pro on ebay (great quality). I got a squeege and a spray bottle and slapped it on.. If your interested in saving some money and you are fairly handy I would do it yourself. Otherwise, listen to everyones advice and get it done professionally.

Let the pros do it. Tint is hard to do with out patients. Some places even have a life time warrenty. They replace it if there is any bubbles.
I just recently took all the tint off my car. June 6th i get my windows tinted 20% all the way around.
