Lightbulb LED dome light help?

Does anyone know how to do a LED bulb swap for the dome light? Its not as easy as you'd think, trust me i've looked/tried messing with it. I dont want to go tearing into it and get halfway done with it and possibly screw up the wiring or worse so im looking for help. Any information on wiring, bulbs, and what all i'd need to get to get the job done would be greatly appreciated.

I asked about this in my project thread but i dont think anyone reads it or they dont bother to post so i asked again here.

Thanks for any help.

just go to superbrightleds.com and get a festoon LED bulb. Your bulb size is 30mm. Direct fit.

Looking that up now.

*Edit: Is this what you were talking about or would it work? I think it would but not sure.

So the "wedge base" thats pictured in that link would work with the 30mm festoon bulb and that should be prety much just plug and play?

what?

you need the festoon we said. look in your dome light... do you see a wedge socket bulb? That should answer your question.

Yea that was a dumb question but what i meant by that was will it fit? It doesnt look like it will fit in the space given unless i did some cutting which i guess wouldnt really be that big of a deal now that i think about it.

it should be a direct fit. no custom work whatsoever. does your dome light socket not look like that? mines didn't but most does. i think mines uses a wedge type. go take a look at your dome light

sylvania bulb guide says your dome light is a 3022 festoon bulb, which is the 30mm bulb. I don't know what you are talking about.

You do realize that the size of the bulb as viewed on the computer screen is not the actual real-life size, right?
