Default Let's talk about fogs...

Okay guys. 2000 LX sedan, gonna put fogs on it. I want to go with OEM style or OEM. Should I pay the $120something for an OEM set with the instructions, relay, harnesses, etc. Or just get some cheap ebay ones and rig them to work? Anyone have experience with them either way?

do they make OEM fogs for the 4 door? The ebay OEM style ones come with a factory fog light switch and i think all the wiring is OEM, just the foglights are OEM imitation.

I stumbled across this: http://www.handa-accessories.com/civext00.html, a site for Honda andAcura factory accessories on the cheap. It's not specific, but can the wiring harnesses really be all that different?

Okay, let me pose a different question. What is the difference between the front end of a 99-00 coupe vs a 99-00 sedan?

Not sure of your years model fog assembly but i have a 04 civic ex coupe and recently bought cheap fogs off ebay. had the fogs installed professionally but I had problems with the fog lamp switch. They gave me the swith to go in between door and steering wheel. When I actually needed the one for below radio. It was a big mess cause that switch doesnt fit properly. Luckily my connection at honda store fog a connector and i bought an OEM switch and had harness cut and wired to that connector. At the end of it all and time and money spent I should have gone with OEM(from honda retailer) rather than ebay. Although the finished product looks great..

i just ordered some from ebay for my 04, i got smoke ones (blackout theme), $63 shipped to canada (i think it was liek $45 shipped to the USA) they are OEM fitment, comes will all wiring relays and a oem looking switch that installs int he OEm spot... looks just as legit as OEM, just at half (or less) the price.

This is what i ordered

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...:IT&ih=002

Dunno if they sell em for other gens...

You must not have a sunroof. Ebay fogs are great dont get me wrong but imagine if that OEM spot was already taken with sunroof switch. Then your screwed cause that switch(one that comes with kit) is to big for other OEM spot under radio/above cup holders. Thats the reason I had to buy an OEM switch from dealership and have connector cut from harness and connected professionally to the OEM switch. I do have to say the finished product looks identical to the OEMs you can buy from dealership or handa.
