Default My projectors!

Alright, so I've been really busy and still haven't gotten pictures yet, but the projectors went in two weeks ago, and the 6000k HID's wen't in last week, and I LOVE THIS SETUP!

Headlight installation was a breeze, just had a bit of a hard time getting them adjust correctly (had to take one back out again). Xenons took a little bit of playing around to get power to them, but after about an hour or so, they were running, and I'm so glad that I listened to EJ1Rider and TheMoogly on this one...I would highly reccomend the projector w/ HIDs!

I was disappointed that the shields inside the projectors are not a perfect straight line, but rather have a higher right side then left, which leads to a step down on the left side of the light pattern. I can't for the life of me figure out why they would have been designed like this, and the pattern can be akward when I'm going downhill and can't see in the middle as well as the sides (it appears as a V in the pattern almost). If one of my halo's ever burns out, I'm considering grinding them down to flat while I've got the housing open...any thoughts?

Eventually I'm hoping to wire them up with relays (Thanks amg!https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_170135/tm.htm ) so I've got my lows on with the high's...Right now the color difference is horrific when I go back to the halogens.

Alright...here we go!

The last one is the view of the shield and how it steps down inside the actual projector. I haven't been able to get any good shots at night with the xenons because the color just isn't a good representation of what it actually looks like. I'll try to get some of the halos later though!

What do you think?

Get thos pictures up ASAP. Have you tried playing around with the direction of the light beam? There are little bolts/turn wheels in the back of your headlights that move the projectors side to side or up and down which inturn changes the way the light is going. Could that be your problem?

most high output lighting is designed like that to keep from blinding people on the opposing side of the road while still keeping a clear view of the road edge on the right side.........vica-versa for other countries that drive on the left side of the road.

My projectors perform the same way as what your describing. I have pulled them out several times and adjusted the beams to center them a little more, but yeah its kind of ignorant the way they are setup. If they were true HID beams they would likely be flat and straight like they should be. I think in some way, the shape of the bulbs themselves cause a little of that beam's break. I use H1's, I assume you do too, maybe its just an H1 thing.

The HID bulbs are thin straight tubular, no breaks really, caused by the filaments. I dont know for sure if thats the issue, but thats what I am seeing. You just have to live wiht it, it still looks good!

I've actually got H3's...If you check out that last picture you'll see why their like that. It steps down on one side and actually slopes down. If I one day get motivated in the summer I might go ahead and fix it with a grinding wheel (Provided I can get into it)

Well my driving lights are actually in with duct tape haha...yeah I know.... For some reason the hole is too big, so I just didn't worry about it. I don't even have mine hooked up because the yellow light looks ugly next to the blue halos. I'm probably going to take them out at some point. With the blinkers, I don't think they're required to be amber...mine are just white.
