Default My rims/hubcaps are way scratched

I'm pretty sure it's the hubcaps (whatever the most outside thing is) but the paint is horribly scratched and flaky. There's no point in washing the metal part because I will just pull more off and none of the dirt will come out. My sister had the car for 6 years and MAYBE washed it three times herself.

Does anyone have recommendations for replacing them? I don't want anything lame or ricer-like...just maybe a little better than OEM looking.

You could re-spray them with chrome spray? Or is that not an option for you?

Do you mean the plastic hug caps that go over the black wheels? If so just take them off, the black steelie looks sick, maybe repaint it black if its rusty or dirty.

I mean that plastic thing. Both seem to be options although I'm not particularly fond of chrome.

Thanks for the responses!
