Question need center console help. 91 Hatchback 4spd

Hi, I just bought a 1991 Honda Civic hatchback with a 16 valve 1.6 and a 4 speed manual trans. Its my daily driver now, and i'm tired of having nowhere to put my drinks or anything. The only place is on the dash or in the glovebox. Couldn't find any center consoles to go in front of the e-brake. Just thought i'd see is anyone else had an opinion. And i also want to find a way to cover up where the spare tire went so i can get my subs put in the back. The whole back cargo area is just metal and has the deep well for the spare. Any ideas? let me know what you think!

You'll probably have to buy the trunk false floor either at a junkyard or straight from the dealer.

Does your radio console area have an empty DIN slot?

if you can find a dealer with it in stock, that spare tire cover is only $40 new

You could try using this. They sell them at walmart for less than $5. Wedges between the center console and the passenger seat. Do you think this would work in your car? (sorry, not too familiar with 88-91 Civic center consoles)

I used to have one of these wedges and it worked great. As long as someone doesn't need to sit in the passenger seat or is real skinny, this cupholder works well.

If that doesn't work for you, you could try this. Also seen these at walmart. When I was a kid we used to use these in the backseat of our car... we slipped the bracket over the top of the door panel, with the tab sticking down in between the window and the door panel.

This one looks a little better quality, perhaps more stable

They're not very sturdy. You can make your own with MDF board, some automotive carpet, and a jigsaw but it really helps to have a stock one as a template for it.
