need suggestions for lowering springs
I am new in this forum and I guess you can give me ideas and suggestions on my car. Ok I just put tein s tech lowering springs 2 months ago on my 2005 honda civic 4dr. it looks good but i am not really satisfied because the front part of my car is higher than the back part. The springs measure is 1.3 front and 1.4 rear. what can i do to lower the front to make it balance
get tein coilovers if you are really picky about the height of the car. I used to be in your shoes a while back and I realized that it was just easier to fork over the money and have the adjustability factors of coilovers instead of trying my luck out on springs and shock combo to achieve the ideal height. your rim size will also affect your stance.
goodluck
and btw, tein basics are good priced and good quality

honestly, your car is probably pretty even... the thing about civics is that the rear fender is lower than the front fender, so when you give the car an even drop, it looks like the back is lower.
But if you want to adjust the height to exactly where you want it, I'd suggest Ground Control or Skunk2 coilover sleeves... they'll set you back and give you full height adjustability.

Is it just me, or is this problem specific to 7th gen civics? I haven't lowered (yet); I don't necessarily NEED the adjustability of coilovers, but it seems that pretty much every 7th gen I see with lowering springs appears to have the rear lowered more than the front.

it's not a "problem" for the rear to be lower than the front, it's the way the manufacturer designed it so the vehicle gets the most performance out of them.

I'm not trying to argue... I think the main issue is the asthetic problem of having your car look like you're driving around with a body in your trunk.
you may not NEED the adjustability of them BUT its great to know you have that ability!
with my 99civic i only plan on adjusting the suspension twice a year. once to lift for winter for max ground clearance, and in the spring a drop to close the gap
with drop springs you are stuck with your drop... but with some nice adjustable setup you can tweak the ride height to the fraction of a inch if you want!
its just HUGE peace of mind that if you need/WANT to tweek it you can. so if springs do seem to sag even the slightest it only takes alittle tweek!
