new fogs and hid's
not sure how many of you have thought about putting hid's in your 2000 civic foglights...if any, or who have but i strongly advise you DO NOT TRY. it took me almost 10 hours to put mine in and i wish i had pictures of the process. i ordered new foglights and bezels so it would look new. well, the hid bulb would not fit in the new foglights so i had to use the old ones and so i still used my new bezels. after i got the bulb in the old foglight, it was too long on the back side for the back to close. i had to cut a hole in the metal so the bulb could come though the back. once i did that the bracket would not clamp down. i had to modify that as well. it was a MAJOR pain. has anyone else tried? well either way, here are some pics. my bezels use to be color matched but one fell out and got ran over. i think the black goes well with my car...
mine were a piece of cake lol i have 3500 hid's in mine. Did you get OEM fogs or cheap *** ebay ones? i literally unscrewed popped in screwed the back plate back in and ran he wiring took maybe 20 mins.
i used the stock foglights....but even still the hid was too long in the back and i had to cut the metal cover that goes on the back of the light that way the light would come through. here are some pics tho!
those are usually not on because i use the defi digital one as the speedometer...i noticed it when i took the picture. oh and these hids are 10k! they are just a tad more blue than in the picture but not much. a friend of mine has 6k and they are sooo bright.
