Hello to all!

I'd like your opinion regarding my new Honda Civic EX Coupe. I bought it last month and it works well. Nevertheless, I still want to know what the potential "cons" of this car are since my friends keep telling me that I should not have chosen the car. I really don't understand where they're coming from, so I thought I'd better get other people's opinions.

i see no reason why not to get the civic. looks good and good gas mileage. see no reason why not to buy it. did you ask your friend why?

 

Honda is one of the highest quality automobile manufactures out there. There are few that can match the fit and finish, durability and the over-all build quality of a honda for the price. Sure there maybe better, but your gonna pay for it too. With honda you get the best of all worlds with no compromise. Good looks, reliability, awesome fuel mileage, solid build quality, and a small price tag.

 

well ive had my Ex since May of 06 and i have no major complaints. I get over 40mpg hw and the car drives great. Now here are some problems.

the rear camper on our cars is goofy, and after only 10k the tires began to wear in odd areas(bald is some spots and not the other). Often the engine will knock due to poor fuel as honda did some skimping on the tuning portion. I get it with some gas stations and not others(god damn additives).

The rear panel where the stock sub sits, its crap. It rattles they fix it, and it rattles again the next week. Recommend removing it, stuffing some white Ts around the area and re-install the panel. Sometime the rear seats will make a pop as someone sits back.

Nothing major, just a few things i have found and others have found with our cars. Over all it is a great car. Engine and tranny are great(i beat the shyt out of my car) and the car still runs great. Im at 40k right now.

Second gear does grind sometimes(as do many newer hondas/acuras).

I'm quite happy with mine. I got an 08 in January. I love it. No probs for me yet. Runs great, looks great. I also beat on it pretty hard. I am at about 8500 miles. I don't get 40 mpg though, closer to 32. How are you getting 40 mpg koonce?

I'm also going to turbo charge mine soon. I"ll let you know how the engine holds out after that .
