I've constantly had the problem of CDs flying around my car all the time and im just tired of the plain old CD case. So I thought I would take a fold-out CD case (one thats sort of like a book[pages of cds basically]) And mount it in my glovebox to where when the glovebox is opened the CDs fold out for easy access. At the bottom of each "page"(basically on the so-called spine of the "CD Book") mount some 12" LED strips from oznium. I'm yet to put it all together but i'm thinking about doing it this weekend. If you didnt understand i have a picture i put together on MS paint in like 5 minutes. What do you guys think about this idea?

wont the cd case be blocking the leds? i think go for it but put the led's facing down on top of the glove box like so...

thats a really good idea man and i think im gonna plan sumthing sorta like that but im not using my glove box i am thinkin of doin it in my center console

Or just do what I do and get an mp3 palyer and an auxilary input [sm=smiley20.gif]

 

yup go wut the aux imput its alot easyer than cd. i got mine hooked up to the ipod and havent used a cd in months

 

haha yeah aux is always usefull but common.. who doesn't have a pile of burnt cds layin around to play when mp3/ipod run out of batteries plus i think its a really deadly idea and would add a really good look to the interior if done right i can completley picture what your talkin about.. with the leds.. kinda like have them light up the pages and such?

 

So i should go for it.? Anything that I should watch out for with the glovebox or anything in general since you guys are the experienced ones.?

 

Ya try it out, theres nothing to worry about in the glovebox, but you can take it out to make it easy, just push the sides in and you will see 2 rubber tabs that need to clear some metal and take out 2 screws at the bottom.

 

i think itd be sick, althoguh you couldnt put anything in the glovebox and that wont be convenient, but you could prolly mount some LED strips up under the dash, above the glovebox so they shine down onto the CDs. Theyd be hidden and not blocked by anything that way.
