New Paint Job

I was actually thinking bout getting a new paint job for my 02 honda civic and the paint i want is of course black. Have tint windows, was thinking bout blacking my taillights and i have nice chrome rims. So do you think i should go with that and get a new paint job? And if so where is a good place to get your car painted, cuz i want it to look like that super shiney factory look. Like how my car does now. So is maaco a good place to take it?

Anyways what yall think on everything

Makko can spray your car but in the paint world you pretty much get what you pay for I think.But I know Mill will post about this guy or someone who does it in his yard for cheap and does a good job.I would ask around shops and stuff and see.

RE: New Paint Job

i just went there to get a quote and this is what it looks like

Surface Preparation (sanding) - 149.95
Paint Services (painting) - 300
Protection Packages (Full clear coat) - 200
Additional Paint (jambs/inner doors) - 100

total = 764.95

But talked to the guy to "hook" me up and he lowered it to $700

So is that good or not, and wont the full clear coat make my care super shiny?

Does the additional paint include the gas door,trunk and bottom side of the hood?I am a fan of enamel paints for shiney instead of base coat, clear coat.The price sounds good to me.

yeah it does. And i should call around to see where are some car paintings in my area because isn't enamel paint shiner than clear/base coating?

i no someone who had a ok experiance with macco, they painted the car and it looked real good, but they forgot clear coat in some places, when you ran your hand across the paint you could tell...but other then that,it looked good. Go to honda and get a price just for the heck of it

BTW, i would NOT repaint your car, the blue looks soo good

Thanks. I think i will stick with this color. I actually like the blue, and when i wax it up its very very very nice. I was just thinking of the black, but i think i may stick with the blue and spend my 700 on a AEM V2 CAI or something and pay bills wit the rest lol
