Noob with Question on 1996 Horn Button
Hello all,
I've got a 1996 civic DX Hatchback, and I love it like a daughter.
However, the left-side Horn button has broken off - there seem to have been 4 little tabs that simply snapped. This makes the whole interior look Ghetto. I tried glueing the tabs on... Didn't work out.
My local dealership says they can get them for $30.00 apiece - seems steep for one square inch of plastic! At Houston Pick-A-Part (a self-service junkyard) they're $4.95, BUT one must get it off of the original car without breaking it.
By the way, the interior color is dk. gray, type K.
My question, then, is twofold: 1) How does one remove one of those horn buttons without breaking off the tabs in the process - any tips?
2) do any of you know where I could simply order a new one, for a reasonable price? (it's quite a drive into Houston anyway.)
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
