Default Obligs 96' Civic EX...(tons of new pics 10/14/07!)

This is a pretty old post. Link to latest pics on fifth page: (10/14/07)
https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_379779/mpage_5/key_/tm.htm#498874
I recently bought a used 96' Honda Civic, and I love it.
The first thing I did was eBay some new taillights and headlights...
I also bought new pedals, a steering wheel cover, and seat covers.
When I bought it, the car had Acura rims, fog lights, mud flaps, a fat exhaust, and a spoiler already on it.

I'm thinking about buying either a lip kit or rims...but I'm afraid of making it look like a ricer...
Please tell me how it looks so far and if you think it would be too ricer if I put on rims and or a lip kit

Any opinions are greatly appreciated

PS: unrelated question--I realize my pictures have my liscense plate not hidden...
I know some people choose to blur theirs out; why is that?
is there something im missing?

IMO get rid of the ricer lights
cant go wrong with a lip kit
people blur out liscense plates so they wont get stolen.

I agree with the following:

-Lower it
-Get rid of tails
-Get a Lip Kit
-tint your windows darker
-get black rims w/ chrome lip
-paint ur calipers
-exhaust
-intake
-header
-system?????

Don't wanna over-do anything...so...keep it clean.

Thanks a ton for all the comments guys!!
Here are my responses with even more questions.

I'll italicize concerns that have already been answered
Once again, any and all opinions would be awesome.

Remove tails--yeah, I wasn't so sure about them in the first place. [ul][*]I have one recommendation for stock tails without the amber (I assume amber is the large top section?).[*]any other suggestions for new tails before I screw it up again?[/ul]Lower it--doubt I want to do this unless you can change my mind... [ul][*] Is it really necessary to do this if I have a lip kit? wont it look low enough?[*] can anyone give me an estimate on the price of new springs/installation[*] wheres a decent place to get springs? for some reason eBay seems kinda iffy for those (or am i wrong)[/ul]Get a lip kit--This will probably be the first thing I do, since its cheaper than rims... [ul][*] What should be the price range of a decent lip kit, I have seen a huge range in pricing[*] Do many of you guys get these off eBay?[*] For the side skirts, can I bolt them on directly below the existing black plastic thing (no idea what its called) or do I remove that.[/ul]RIMS!-- these are a definate "eventually", I just have a few questions

[ul][*] What is the price range (in general) that I should be paying for the full operation?[*] What type of place will get me the most bang for my buck (I was thinking about driving into the city to maybe get better deals??)[*] By the way, I'd definately be getting black rims with the chrome lip, kinda like mill$civic has [/ul]Debadge
[ul][*]I don't understand why people do it -_- are they embarassed its a civic?[/ul]

Also, Caine, what needs to be done for my exhaust? Personally I think the one I have is pretty good, and the sound I get isn't a high pitched or annoying tinny sounding one. it's much more low and grungy.

Sorry for all the questions in one thread guys. Just remember I'm a long time lurker; new poster, so I HAVE checked around the forums and read guides for most of these things, I just have further questions (or they are specifically for my situation )

Thanks again, in advance--looking forward to all your guys' answers

Try getting it lowered and buya set of rims FIRST. It will cost you around $800-1000 if you will buy a lower end products.

Clear tails is a def no-no if you dont want to be riced up. Lip kits + lowered = BADASS. Its a fact!

Debadging makes your civic look CLEAN, not that they are not proud that they drive a civic.
