i have a 92 civic 4dr sedan, soon getting mettalic black paint job with fl fenders and full urethane body kit. should i get a carbon fiber hood or stick with my original hood. my fear is that the carbon fiber hood will not be 2 noticble since the car is already black.

Carbon fiber lloks very good on black. Its suttle and attractive. However, I think a CF hood is uses for its intended functionality.

 

+1, but if your not really trying to save on the weight, i wouldent bother, eather way will look good

 

i want to save on the weight as well, but i am not sure of the weight difference, how much less do u think the carbon fiber hood weighs compare to oem hood?

 

they say about 20-30 lbs lighter than a stock hood

 

if you really intend to save weight just get a fiberglass hood because your getting cf layed over fiberglass unless you pay alot.

 

i want both to save weight and put a nice look on the car, their arent any fiberglass hoods i think are worth buying right now ive seen most of them and im not to impressed
