Just got my first goot (Y). 95 Hatch, loving it so far.

Anyway, I go to school in basically a body shop, so paint, dings and stuff like that is really no problem. The problem is, I really don't know how I want to paint it. I've been ripping hair out over a nice, clean color and design for it.

I'm leaning towards all black with minor red parts, such as beauty trim (the rim trim stuff), red underglow, red shift ****, pedals, stuff like that. Even a red pin stripe somewhere would like nice on black. I've recently bought VHT Niteshade to tint the lights, but I just like the black lights on red instead of black on black. I guess I just need an outside opinion on I guess a theme for the car. Thanks in advance

Was also thinking of maybe black with a thick red stripe going over the tail lights. Also, (jeeze I sound picky) I'd kinda like to keep the hood black to keep the civic type cf look

 

No pin stripe. No thick red stripe going over the lights. Keep it simple trust me. Black would look clean with black rims and a red lip. Minor other cosmetic red parts like you listed would look good as well.

 

Guess you're right. But with the chance to paint the car ANYTHING for free, wouldn't you want a real nice color too? Haha, might end up keeping it black, too. What do you think about the black on black lights?

matte finish is tough! but you'll catch **** if ur car cant back up its stance. my car looks like a fishing lure, but when its running right....

That satin black looks real good, but it just seems too much like black primer y'know? Brent I love that style. I'm not worried about rice too much right now, I just wanna get the most out of the class then worry about engine parts and such. It's completely stock except for the engine was swapped for a d15b7; better than the stock CX one I guess.

What do you think about like.. a giant atari logo starting from the back? haha
