Default RE: Painted Tail Housing

why would you want to paint the insides of the lenses????
only thing that would look painted would be the clear part!
plus you wouldnt have any light output from the tails... so wouldnt that be totaly illegal?

and well i tried to take apart my taillights before and it didnt budge! i was afraid it would snap so stoped!

now if you meaning something like this

then ya you could do it to the exterior of the lenses.... just put enough BLACK primer before ya paint! when i did that to my old 96jimmy i didnt spray enough primer on it and i used grey primer. but if it was primered in black and afew more layers then it woulda realy looked good!!!!!

and i just used all rattle cans for those......

i just tried tinting my tail lights and it ended up looking like TOTAL CRAP! so now gotta sand it all off and polish them up back to stock tomorow.
but if your gonna paint the exteriors like those pictured might i sugest using some CHEAP euro lights.... just incase ya dont like it later on you can just throw the stockers back on
