Default painting??

so i decided to paint some pieces in my 98 civic. my block of my center console and around the piece around my shifter. not sure what type of material it is but i believe its like a plastic/rubbery feel well i repainted it black primer ...if i put a clear coat on it will it make it look shiny? i don't like the shiny look...im going for the dull look but i also want to protect it. thanks

I agree! I didn't do this the first time and I ended up regretting it. Its not worth it to rush through and do it all at once.
