is there any duplicolor paint that matches the 1998 silver perfectly, or near perfect? i want to paint my girlfriends 1998 coupe sideskirts body color and am not too familiar with civics.........

PS. i searched and found some DIY's and am already familiar with the process. just want to find out what exact silver i should use that i could pick up locally (autozone, pep boys, etc.). TIA

thanx man, is the paint code inside the door jamb? do they usually stock specific paint codes at these regular auto stores.?

sorry for all the questions, i drive a B5 a4turbo audi. but am doing little DIY mods on my girl's 98 civic.

 

yeah it should be in the driver's door. As far as them stocking silver, I don't know, the Advance by my house didn't have my Taffeta White (AND they wouldn't even order it for me!) so I bought it at the AutoBarn store online.

 

thanx for your help mxs, i found the duplicolor paint at autozone, painted the sides and mudguards with adhesion promoter, 4 coats of silver and 4 coats of clear. and it came out awsome, looks factory. My girl loved it.

I want to do this with my A4 but duplicolor does not stock any Audi colors. gonna have to order it through paintscratch.com.

Can I ask how much paint you used up? like how many cans?

 

1 can of adhesion promoter, 2 cans of silver, 2 cans of clearcoat. LOL was pretty fast. I'm pretty handy with DIY's . I appreciate your help by the way, your the only one that answered the post.
