Angry Password:JDM Hood damper problem

Anyone ever have any problems with their hood dampers? (Except you, Stuart. I know yours just straight up broke.) My drivers side one is giving me problems. It seems like every other week, the gap between the hood and fender gets bigger and bigger. Today, I tried one final time to adjust my headlights before I take a sledge hammer to them. When I closed the hood, the gap was suddenly 2x as bad as ever. Even with the hood closed and latched, I could see the whole hood damper through the gap between the hood and fender on the drivers side. The passenger side is just fine. Usually the gap is bigger on the top of the hood and got smaller as it went closer to the front but today the whole gap was 3/4" at least. Even after I took the damper out completely, the gap was still there, but much smaller.

What should I try to do here? Refit the hood on the hinges? Reset the fender? Or does it sound like the damper bent something?

(It's dark, otherwise I'd get a couple of pics up.)

Call them. Don't let them only give you half a refund like they did for me (I was like whatever so I was happy to at least get something so I left it at that). Bitch the **** out of them until they give you all your money back, and not in store credit (unless that's what you want).

PWJDM Hood Dampers SUCK!

If you want any at all, get Tein. I'm just gonna go without them completely.
