Default projector housing help

hey guys, i just got a pair of 8000K HID headlights. and the stock housings aren't cuttin it, im getting random light spots spread out. so i figure i need to get new housing. unless there's a way i don't know about to fix that?

but i was planning on getting projector headlights anyway so i might as well. can you guys suggest a website or a place around sf bay area to purchase projector headlights? preferably ones with angel eyes. i drive a black 2001 civic, and any opinions if i should get black or chrome ones?

how much would the pair cost me? and if i had like a shop install them.. because i know nothing about cars and im sure that i wouldn't want to install them myself.

if this post sounds noob it's because i am very much a noob at car mods

Here's a pic of my old 01'. I had black projectors and I will advise you to buy the same since you have a black car. Mine were some ebay brand but they looked good and were cheap. The headlights are not hard to put in and aim. you will need the pull the front bumper off and thats not difficult either. Just take your time and work on it. It's much better to be able to tell people that you did it as opposed to "ah I paid someone."

oh and if you do have to have angel eyes remember that they require further wiring to run power to the lights.

the best way to have hid's is to do a retrofit. i don't believe there is a place in san francisco bay area that would sell them, at least not that i know of. you can find them on ebay, autoanything, and many more, just google it. i would say install them yourself, it's not that hard but if you really dont know how then shops would mostly overcharge you, maybe $80?

If you want better lighting than your setup, i'd recommend everything oem and throw away that cheap hid kit in your factory housings. And a fog light kit would help tremendously. If not, then a set of good projectors from a reputable brand will work, just be warned that the cheap angel eye housings will probably give a worse light disspersement than your current setup.

Hid retrofit would give you the best light output. Projectors would work also but, your bulbs probably won't fit without some modifications. If your short on cash you could make a shield to block the bottom half of your bulbs to get ride of the upward glare.

someone esle told me that i would have to take off my front bumper, hopefully that's not as hard as i think it is.

Its not too bad, when I first did it. it took me about an hour because there was some tricky bolts that were in weird areas. But, its really not as bad as you think.
