alright...im new to HCF but not new to forums in general...just bought an 07 EX coupe...had an 02 pontiac grand prix....so i know whats goin on...even though im a noob to here, anyways...i had HIDs in the grand prix but no projectors...now that they make projectors for 07 EXs im curious as if anyone has used the regular OEM headlights until purchasing the HIDs with the projectors...i know its not as bright but does it actually distribute the light as it would with HIDs? im thinkin yes but im curious..i plan to buy the projectors before the HIDs...any comments or suggestions would help...thanks in advance...

hehehe oh yeah, you know what's going on! hahahaha Anyways, I had projectors and 8k HIDs then 6k HIDs... now I am back to OEM headlights and 6k HIDs... OEM and HID=RIDICULOUSLY BRIGHT. It throws the light everywhere like a wild animal. The projectors aimed the light and it was bright, but not OEM housing bright.

 

yah i had the HIDs and OEM headlight housings in the grand prix...but what about hte other way around...itll only be temporary until i can buy the HIDs, what if i do the OEM headlight bulbs and aftermarker projectors? better or worse or the same as OEM bulbs and OEM headlight housings?

 

Well, I had projectors on my 93 with stock H1 bulbs for years. It was great, or so I thought. I just got 6000k HID's a month or so ago and it's so much brighter. So, you can drive fine with stock bulbs, but once you get the money, spring for some HIDs.
