not to pimp a sponsor or anything, but procivic has some type-r lookalikes for about the same money...

most aftermarket "race" seats will work with standard belts & harnesses, with a relocation of the clasp to the framework or car body

most include or require "universal sliders" to maintain the ability to adjust their placement front to back in the car

most "universal sliders" work with sparco vehicle specific race seat bases, which will bolt to the factory locations in your car

total cost is generally quite a bit more than just the seats (Figure another $200-400 for bases, misc hardware and sliders if needed beyond cost of seats)

Heh, take out your passenger seat and check it out, its more complex than you would think. I was in the middle of doing this same thing. Heres a write up on how to get er done right yO!

And Marnie, I'd probably relocate that clasp from the seat to the body/floor somewhere.

what do you mean? the seat belt buckle? it is supposed to be attached to the seat, mine is installed properly. I have the Recaro rails though, it is supposed to be mounted there

Oh ok, I didnt realize you had the recaro rails... Matter of fact, you wouldn't happen to know the bolt hole measurements for those rails would you?

no, what do you want to know? is it something I could measure easily without taking the seat out?

Nah probably not unfortunately.. I was just wondering what the measurement between the holes for the seat mounting bolts was. No biggie I'm sure I can find it somewhere

can you just move your stock rails onto the new seats?

actually, I could look at my stock seats for you, if that would help, they are just chilling in my attic.
