Question Rear bumper swap... 2005 on 2003... will it work? search not helpful...

So i tried to search, but I was not getting any usable answers. We have a 2003 Honda civic 2 door. Yes when we bought the car the rear bumper had bad issues already.

We got hit in the rear last night. It cracked the stock bumper. The question is can I put a 2005 rear bumper on it instead. Looking online I see alot of 2001-2005 aftermarket rear bumpers, so I assume yes, but I would rather ask first!

I like the look so much better. From what I've seen they look like the meet the body the same. I just want some confirmation it will all bolt up and line up before we take it for the repair. You know how shops can be about swaping anything around!

This is going to be my daughters car, so for now I'm keeping it relatively stock to keep police harassment down while she is learning. Later it can be modified if she wants. So I want to stick with a stock combo for now.

Thank you!

Direct swap as far as I know. Much better looking too, IMO.
