to retrofit or not to retrofit
i was planning on buying an HID kit for my ride when i went home but i was looking up about retrofitiing your headlights and was wondering which has a better light output?? i have the ebay projector lights so was wondering how they look on these headlights any good? i was looking on how to do your own and doesnt look to hard i guess. depending which one looks better. thanks
I don't think it's so much a question of light output as it is of beam focus and cutoff.
With a HID kit the housings (which are not meant for HID lights) will not properly cut off the beam, thereby throwing way too much light into oncoming traffic's faces.
If I'm wrong, somebody please correct me - that is my understanding though.

Retrofitting involves buying just about the whole headlight and hid unit from a factory hid equipedcar.
You can just put an hid kit on your projectors and it will be a BIG improvement on your lights. (you might have to aim them down a little to not blind anyone)
