What's my best best? Wet/dry sandpaper and then have another clear coat added? Don't want to ruin the hood. I could always be ghetto and put a decal over it but I'd really rather not!

 

i would take it to a shop or try to buff it out if not wet sand and reclear..i think every carbon hood should be recleared looks alot nicer

 

use really fine sandpaper to do it. if there's a paint supply store around, go to them and ask what they recommend. you have to be careful with a carbon fiber hood. the smallest streak or mark seems to stick out like a turd in a punchbowl. good luck and let us know how it turns out!

 

wet sand with 1500-2000 paper. spray a little clear over it, sand with 2000. then buff it with rubbing compound

 

i had a buddy of mine had a good scratch in his CF hood all the ideas everyone has said to do would work perfect he just didnt have the ***** to do it himself on a 400 dollar hood so he took it to a detail company they buffed it out did all the work to the hood and it looks perfect good luck with it
