seats problem

Default seats problem

yeah i have a 96 hatch and i was in the junkyard last week and saw some 2003 civic seats ex and i like cuz they are kind bucket so i bought for 100 dollars not bad i thought then i got home and tried to install them and the brackted and the 03 civic is not long enough to line the hole on my hatch ii was wondering if any body has tried that on their eg or ek whatever i though that **** was bolt on anybody could help me out please?????????

most of the time there is a pretty big difference inside the cab of the car from a 6th gen and a 7th gen that things wont just swap right over. probably will have to get custom brackets made for them to fit

try pulling the seat brackets off the bottom of your old seats. Install them onto the new seats. Might have to drill a couple of holes and adjust things with a hammer. It can be made to fit, and will be well worth it. You will also have to get the plug for the drivers seat belt indicator. Usually a couple of pins to wiggle out, or cut and splice. Take pics and let us know if you get stuck.

i am pretty sure u are goin to have to do some welding or custom work to make them fit i tried unboltin the seat brackets didn't work for me can't remember why right now.

when i tried to swap brackets, only one would unbolt from the seat pan. but people havetalked about swapping seat pans and such but i have no idea how to

The old ones or new ones may have a rivit attaching the rails. Drill it out and replace with a bolt of suitable strength. Welding is a little more permanent, but it is your car.
