The boot you want is type r boot. From what I've seen b&m short shifters sit lower than skunks, which I like. I think skunk2 is very overpriced in their products. When it comes to short shifters, anything other than generic ebay crap is good. Generic ones snap. Other brands you can look at for shortys are Blackworks and Blox, both are very good. And I have a Skunk2 shift ****, and that thing has a lot of weight behind it. I snatched mine at a junk yard, but not worth the $50 for a ****.
