It takes less than 5 minutes to file the spacers down. I prefer the dual bend, which is why I got it. It all depends which you like more. I've heard that dual bend has a shorter shift throw... I'm not sure how accurate that is though. I do know though that the dual bend will place the shift **** an inch or two more towards the back of the car than the single bend.

I have the $35 ebay kit and it works fine, the fitment and feel was perfect, however, when i threaded the **** on the top of the shifter broke, cause i wanted the **** in a curtain position, but i still had enough to tread the **** correctly. so... its up to you but ebay stuff isnt always the best or worse... They all do the same thing period, so its up to you. Know if were talking headers and struts, stay away from the no names but on cheap stuff, ebay is the bomb!

YEs my friends Neon has a ebay short shifter and he said its worked perfectly for him so far and has had no problems in about 3 years. It says Mugen on it, but no Mugen merchandise would only be 35.00 so i know its knockoff. So surely ill go with an ebay brand.

Have fun with the ebay brand if you decide to shift hard and taking a chance if the shifter breaking down where it connects to the shift linkage. What ever gear (or neutral possibly) the car is in when it breaks is what the car will be in until you get a new shifter installed. Then you'll have to worry about getting your car towed if you can't limp it home.

Aluminum is known to break easily! There are a few people who are running with ebay aluminum shifters and haven't had a problem, but I never heard of a steel shifter breaking. I have a skunk2 short shifter with a 440g weighted ****.... cost me $105 shipped brand new.

Just did a real quick search on ebay.

It's steel, has a warranty (but I doubt you'll need it), it's "best offer" (I bet you could get like $5-$10 off that price listed), and free shipping.
