I put 2000 si taillight on my 97 civic..and its been doin some weird ****.

-blinker goes off when I press on the brake
-the car ding sounds when I press on the brake

Anyone know why this is happening and how can I fix it?

 

No idea. You shouldn't have had to rewire anything, just take the bulbs out of the old tails and pop them in the new one. I don't know how that could make anything mess up.

 

thats really weird, i just popped my si tails in and no problems whatsoever. what amg said, put in your stockies and check it all out.

 

did you try and rewire anything? anything wrong before?

 

could have possibly pinched a wire installnig the new taill lights. When I put my new bulbs in my tail lights in my atlezza's, it was acting all screwy too. Turns out I didn't have the bulb in good. Unlikely, but possible, just check you didn't pinch a wire when you put it back in...

 

The old ones worked fine. And I just took those out and put in the new ones..and then all that **** started happening.

The bulbs were new. but im gonna check it out anyway
All the wires seem to be good.

i just installed si tails yesterday too and having the exact same problem, mine is wen i step on the brakes both blinkers come on and if i have a blinker on and then use the brake it stops blinking, im pissed

 

This makes no sense
Those tail lights are all plug and play, unless anyone cut harness there shouldn't be any prob.
Are you sure these are OEM or DEPO lights?

 

if they worked fine before you installed the new tail lights then didnt after you installed the new ones you got something wrong with the install, probably a bad connection isnt connected all the way or you cut a wire on accident.
