Steps for paint prep
I have fiberglass F1 fenders and I would like to get the steps to prep them for paint.

RE: Steps for paint prep
i would check for imperfections in teh fiberglass to make sure they are smooth and do not have any chips in them. i would test fit them on the car to make sure they will line up right and you wont have to add any tabs to the fiberglass. since it is brand new, you shouldnt have to do any prepping. you should just have to primer, couple of coats of paint and then couple of coats of clear

they seem to fit the car ok, I had to do some trimming here and there but for the most part smooth lines. I see a little waves in places should i concider bondo or just go straight to primer. Aslo what is a good thick prime that I could buy.

waves im not sure about, they shouldnt show up after you primer it. usually just a base primer for cars at any auto paint shop will work

um yea i would bondo the waves cause if u don't make it straight it will look like the ocean trust me thats how my wing is cause i didn't prep it good. you would think that you wouldn't have to but if u don't it will look like crap. make it straight now before paint..
