Default Stock hood?

Hey guys, first post here.

My friend is buying a 1997 Civic HX and she wants to replace the hood because it has two small dents. We're looking for the cheapest/stock hood available. Can anyone give me a rough estimate of how much this is going to cost her including the paint? Also do you know websites where I could ordered it (hopefully order it painted already). I would be installing it on my own.

Many thanks!

Why dont you just take it to a body shop and have the dents pounded out? It will be a lot cheaper then buying a new hood.

Check local scrap yards or Craig's list and see what you can find.
New $250.00 hood and $250.00 paint

used...maybe 150.00

i went through the same thing a little while back. paint is WAYYY expensive, so id just find a hood w/ the same color, get the dents popped, or find a good deal some place. i was quoted about 100 for a new hood, and something around 300-400 to paint a hood. a good cf hood is just a little more than that lol.

Thanks guys

I think I am going to take it to a shop to pound out the dents and use the touch-up paint myself.
