Swapping Center Console
 

The center console I currently have on my car doesn't have the little space you can open up and put things inside. I don't think it's the center console, but it's like the arm rest spot. I'd like to have one where you can open up and put things inside. I'm thinking of going to the junkyard and finding one and then just take it out and putting it into my car. Is it possible? How do I know that it'll fit? What should I be looking for?

I think you probably have the "arm rest delete".
and you want one with the arm rest... right? (the arm rests' have the little compartment that i think your talking about)
if so, its really easy just go find a car the same generation as yours and take it off.

Yeah I'm looking for one with the compartment. I've looked at a bunch of 6th gen civics and the armrest's don't have the compartment. Could I just take one from say a 7th gen? Or could you link me to one that has the compartment?

Edit: Oh wow I just checked it again and it does open up. It was just a little hard to pull up. Although, the armrest is really short and I can't really put my arm on there, I'd like a longer one where I could actually put my arm on it.

Yeah the armrests are pretty small.. i dont think there is anything you can do about it tho.
