Tail light selection--without getting too ricey.

Hey everyone! Seeking the advice of the veterans here, after much searching so far.
Here are the technical details for now: I own a black 2001 4DR Honda Civic DX.
It has those older stock taillights, a standard Honda spoiler and both internal and spoiler brake bar lights.

I've been digging around for good replacement taillights. I have to admit, I really dig the taillights on the newer seventh-gen Civics, where you get an illuminated circle while under braking. I'm trying to choose between those 03/04 stock lights and these: http://www.maxzone.com/new/viewproduct.php?depono=M17-1901F-ASV&type=2
Edited - updated link.

I don't know if the tailligths from the 03/04 models are going to fit or wire in easily. I'm pretty sure you can, the general shape did not change, and I thought this was answered earlier in another thread for a 2DR Coupe, same years.

What do you think of the above selection? I figure it's rare as heck on the roads, not as ricey as the Altezzas, and kind of sleek/classy. Not too keen on the chrome, but maybe you get used to it. I can't find pictures of these installed on an existing Civic just yet, but I'm looking. I need to know what it will look like, and I'm not keen on returning stuff when shipping is involved.

If you're interested, my other current projects (will post in more detail later when I get to them in respective threads, and done in this order):
- An audio system overhaul (got a Pioneer Premier DEH-P880PRS head unit, two 10" 300W RMS Alpine type-R subs, and I'm still sorting out the amp and door speakers).
- Intake/exhaust system, but way more subtle than you may think.
- Larger & wider, "normal" looking rims + tires, a slight lowering, done the "proper" way.
- I'm trying to figure out what parts I can get back on the trim. This car was bought cheap, being a DX, and I'd like a FEW luxuries back, like power windows. Not easy, from what I can tell so far.

Edit: Buhhh, h-scroll. We don't use HTML or [URL] tags, any in-forum ways of shortening this sucker?

I like led tailights, so i think those would look PERFECT on your car

Hey, thanks!

After a long long search, I finally found pictures:

It does look really nice, actually! Just picture it on a black civic with a spoiler. Mmmhmmm.
The second-last image doesn't really apply, though; it's more about his brighter bulbs for the indicators. Also with the actual lights on, you'll get the trunk components lighting up, for more LED lighting. Cool.

I can't wait til it arrives! I've made the order, so it should be arriving next week, I guess.

Next on the list: getting the rest of my audio components.

Here's another thread on the same taillights, for prospective buyers. Apparently the install is simple enough, but there may be issues with wiring (possibly being backwards, for one).

I'll eventually go through the process and document if there are weird hurdles to overcome.

just keep the lights stock, waste of money IMO, like Fiirkan said OEM > *

If I had the 03-05 taillights or a coupe, I'd agree!

edit: couple, coupe, same thing. :P
