Racing harness - a type of seatbelt found in race cars, the belt comes down over each shoulder with a seperate section of belt across the lap. They're what the holes in the back of racing and sport seats are for.

Roll Cage - A system of metal (I believe aluminum) bars going around the cabin of a car, designed to keep the car from getting crushed in the event of an accident.


Personally, I'd never have either of 'em (racing harness or a cage) in a street car... the harness is unsafe without being properly installed, and even a well-designed cage has the potential to split your head in half if you crash and hit your dome off it... and let's not even start on poorly-designed cages that could block the airbags

 

Better to look dumb and live than to have the EMT's say "Damn those are nice seats!"
