I would like to ask if you know some good web-site where I can check compatibility for a specific part for Civics.

Here is my problem, I need to replace trunk lid, right rear light and a bumper. It seems that bumper fits most of 1996-00 civics, but its not so easy with trunk lid. I went today to a junk yard to get a new trunk lid and ran into some trouble. I found 1998 Civic LX but the trunk lid as well as the rear light wont be the same. Would you know by any chance what kind of compatibility "law" runs for trunk lids? ? =) The rear light doesn't fit into my car but I have not purchased a trunk lid to compare, I only saw that the light built-in the lid wont be the same shape as in my car. Would you know if the size of the trunk lid would be the same for each type of Civic's (DX, EX, LX..)?

You need to tell us if you have a coupe/sedan/hatch next time you ask these questions. I am going to guess coupe since you mention a LX (usually only in sedan) wouldn't be compatible.

If you have a coupe, then anything from a 96-00 coupe will work. Same way of thinking for the sedan (only sedan parts). The only except in this situation is the rear bumper. Any 96-00 coupe/sedan bumper will fit (NOT hatchback). The 99-00 bumpers are different than the 96-98 in appearance, but fitment is not affected.
