is it possible to take out the old grille and install the new one without taking off the bumper?

I don't think so. but id u do its only couple of turns of a screw driver to take the bumper off. just take the screws out of the grille that u can see and if you still cant remove it them take off the bumper. troubleshoot as u do it and it will be a breeze.

The Grill being the part with the honda badge?
4 push screws....right on top... thats all there is to taking that bad boy out..I rode around the whole summer like that last year cuz someone stole mine........

see the 5 black tabs on the top of the grill, pop those out and the grill comes right off

its that easy to take off?..i no with the 99-00 you need to take the hole bumper off because theres screws on the back underneath the grill that holds it to the bumper that can only be accessd from the back

yea my 97 hatch has the same set up...those black screws on top and about 4 underneath, i got my grill off ebay so i had to drill some holes to fit it in.

My grille was most definitely attached to the bumper by several screws, and you couldn't get to them without taking the bumper off.

It only takes 5 minutes, and you can do it by yourself...

I believe that rule applies for 96-98's (and maybe others), but not 99-00
